Really, is there a better accompaniment to a Labor Day road trip or barbecue than Holli and Brendan reflecting on the meaning of work and giving you a homework assignment about Amy Grant’s theology of angels? No, we thought not.

Hey guys, thanks for another great episode! Much of what you were talking about struck a cord with me, especially your discussion of purposeful work and due compensation… as a teacher, I must admit that my work is fulfilling and I do see it as a ministry of service, but it doesn’t have a huge paycheck attached to it (no surprises there), especially not when I’ve only been working as a part-time teacher for the past few years. This frustrates me at church when I look for respite and all I find are more demands to give of myself. I don’t think this is something I should be complaining about, but it was what I was thinking of as I listened today… I know, I didn’t listen as soon as the episode dropped… shame on me 😉
Thanks for your comment, Tom! Yes, I don’t think I should be complaining about it either, but, well, you heard the show… :). And better late than never on listening!
